Three buzzards shot in Somerset, one dead two survive

More sad and disappointing news just 5 days into the New Year with 3 Buzzards reported shot  in three separate incidents in Somerset. Two of the Buzzards are now receiving treatment for their injuries at an RSPCA hospital centre, sadly the third Buzzard has died of its injuries. The police are presently investigating reports that  two men were seen shooting  the the Buzzard that has died near Chedzoy on New Year’s Day. At this time we do not have any additional detail but hope to publish an update as soon as possible.

please keep me updated as to what happens regarding this buzzard shooting. I live in Chedzoy and have just brought it to the attention of the Parish council and our local Parish magazine, to ask people to keep a look out locally.
    Many thanks

Editor’s Comment. Hi Josephine, What we can tell you at the moment the two Buzzards that are still alive are reported now to have been shot in Wales near the border with Somerset. The 2 birds are being cared for by the RSPCA. We would ask that if you are able to obtain any additional information about the birds that died please do let us know immediately. Kind regards Editor
