Lets see at the end of the 4 year contract if anything has changed in Bowland, i think we all know the answer to that now, nothing will have changed as regards persecution, and the Hen Harrier will be just about surviving there.

I know the situation in Bowland is of a grave concern Re:- Hen Harriers and Peregrine Falcons, however this can only be the way forward. The appointment of a peoples officer who will be engaging with the people. Let us see if the successful candidate engages with The North West Raptor Protection Group.

I wonder who they’ll find to fullfill all the required experience and qualifications necessary for a job like that, there can’t be many out there can there ???

SO, whoever gets the job should be able to demand a top salary comensurate with the experience they will undoubtably bring with them, someone who knows the uphill struggle they will have in convincing their employers that they need to put a stop to Raptor persecution and habitat destruction once and for all before any of this can be a reality. Above all this they will need to make sure they are capable of ensuring the Hen Harriers are left in peace to breed and prosper with no interference from either landowners or busybody RSPB wallers.

I suppose there could be someone like that out there in cloud cuckoo land !!!

  • How is it possible to reconcile the two parties in this issue? RSPB and the Hen Harrier Rescue side is diametrically opposed to the CLA, Moorland land owners and NGO’s who exterminate any HH on sight. How is posible for this person to do this? An impossible task I think.
