Driven Grouse Shooting must be brought to an end. See some of the reason why below.

There are sufficient reasons depicted by the images below, including Chris Packham’s video,  why we should all sign the ongoing petition calling for the banning of Driven Grouse shooting in England. We would ask each of you to please take a few moment to sign and share the petition to your friends to ensure the government take our views seriously.

Sign the petition here please.

Petition asking our government to consider Banning Driven Grouse Shooting. Wilful blindness is no longer an option.

Chris Packham, Ruth Tingay and Mark Avery (Wild Justice) believe that intensive grouse shooting is bad for people, the environment and wildlife. People; grouse shooting is economically insignificant when contrasted with other real and potential uses of the UK’s uplands.
Environment; muirburn impacts negatively upon climate change and drainage leads to flooding and erosion. Wildlife; the wholesale culling of all predators and Mountain Hares has a disastrous effect on the ecology of these areas and the industry is underpinned by a criminal tradition of raptor persecution which shows no signs of abating. It’s time to provide an opportunity to implement immediate , legislative and meaningful measures to address this abhorrently destructive practice.

Crow trap often used to catch protected raptors on grouse moors

Finally a selection of stink pits used by gamekeepers to dump the corpses of dead and rotting animals they have killed. The decaying mass is intended to lure other unsuspecting animals to their deaths. Usually these additional targets are caught by a multitude of wire snares carefully positioned to encircle the rotting bodies contained in each stink pit.

Please be aware these images are graphic and very disturbing, highlighting the kind of animal management taking place on most grouse moors, and as far as we are aware a totally an unlicensed activity.

Stink Pits the use of.

I am sick to the stomach of this carnage!!., I recommend direct action target the bastards and every they are involved with! And I mean everything show them up in public OSTRACISE THEM!! The government do nothing WE HAVE TO!

  • Paul Shortall

It’s very counterproductive ~ people would travel to see the abundance of wildlife

  • No traps any where please

  • Anita Gallagher

    Should NEVER be legal?

  • Anne Kerin

What happens when you put money before everything on this planet? You destroy your own soul?

  • Nothing surprises me I have seen it all in my area, i have reported a lot of incidents in my area photos grid refs and i mean a lot they are still there all they do is change the keepers take the stink pit down set up a new one. 20 years I have done this until the government and police take it seriosly it will carry on, but we can only carry on and keep up the pressure till we make huge inroads.
