What ever anyone thinks about Dr Mark Avery this time he really has set the cat amongst the pigeons, or should that read Red Grouse, and thank goodness for that. This morning in Mark’s latest blog he highlights some of the abuse he has received after having the audacity to challenge the shooting fraternity calling for driven grouse shooting to be banned throughout England. If history tells us anything, those that have had the courage to challenge the British establishment very often ended up in the Tower of London, on the Gallows, or worst, hung drawn and quartered. In our view because of the outrage the shooting establishment are now demonstrating Mark Avery is on the right course, but he needs much much more help in his worthwhile quest. To ensure Mark’s petition attains the 100,000 signatures it so rightly deserves, please can everyone who has so far signed ask 10 of your friends to do the same. If we could only convince Dr Brian May’s anti Badger gassing petitioners to join us, does anyone have any other ideas?
